The situation of the MHK Group
As one of Europe’s largest purchasing and service network groups, the MHK Group realises significantly more favourable purchasing conditions and takes advantage of the numerous synergy effects of administration, in marketing and in all services relating to the actual business.
In its core segment – the kitchen industry – the MHK Group unites more medium-sized kitchen retail partners than any other association. Commercial partners are supported in all areas with a comprehensive range of services provided by our own companies. In the past financial year, we have once again consolidated and expanded our position as market leader.
In the 2023 financial year, the turnover of the MHK Group's affiliated partners amounted to EUR 9.661 billion, which corresponds to a slight decrease of 0.68% compared to the previous year (EUR 9.727 billion). Turnover in Germany fell by 0.08%.
The average value of a kitchen sold increased from 17.570 euro to 18.780 euro.
In 2023, the group was able to acquire new specialist retailers at home and abroad as trading partners. The number of members increased from 3.877 to 4.233. In Germany, 3.076 specialist dealers (previous year: 2.759) were members of the MHK Group as of 31 December 2023.
Outside Germany (Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom), 1.157 trading partners (previous year: 1.118) were members of the MHK Group as of 31 December 2023.
The turnover of foreign shareholders fell slightly by 1.75 percent compared to the previous year.
The MHK headquarters employs 616 people.
